The hotel has a stunning river view and clean rooms, but the dining experience left something to be desired, especially the limited choices. Some areas felt dated, and service can be hit or miss. it was a pleasant stay with nice staff.

great stay but attention needed for noise
The staff proved to be highly attentive and ensured our needs were met promptly. The afternoon tea and dinner were outstanding, with surprisingly quick service that exceeded our expectations.
The noise from the nearby steam train could be distracting at times.

The stay was thoroughly enjoyable, especially the spa facilities which included a lovely pool and sauna. We celebrated our wedding anniversary, and our room had thoughtful touches like swan towels and rose petals. Dining was a highlight with delicious meals, and the breakfast buffet featured the best scrambled eggs I've ever had. My only complaint would be that the windows in the pool area could use a clean, as the lovely river views were slightly marred by stains.

Great spa vibe!
I got a spa experience and afternoon tea for my bday, and it was memorable! Despite the rain, we were warmly greeted. The spa was lovely, and my facial was top-notch. The afternoon tea was chill and the cakes were nice, but felt a bit ordinary. The breakfast staff seemed overwhelmed, which kinda put a damper on things.
